BUSHFIRE REHABILITATION PROJECT – NORTH EASTERN REGION
Client: Downer EDI Works (NEMA), Department of Transport
Overview: Following the devastating Victorian bushfires of 2019/20, and the following flood events that caused widespread damage, BPS have assisted the 2021 remediation projects within the North Eastern Region, comprising the Great Alpine Road, Benambra-Corryong Rd, Murray River Road, and Murray River Hwy, to name just a few.

Our role: Works included drainage and culvert replacement, road and shoulder rehabilitation, tree clearing, roads maintenance, signage procurement and installation, to return Department of Transport owned assets to a higher standard than pre-event.
Working as liaison between the state insurance body and the Region, BPS assisted in compiling the North Eastern Region insurance claim for damage remediation due to the bushfires.
