BENALLA MULTISPORT STADIUM – BENALLA RURAL CITY COUNCIL

Client: Benalla Rural City Council
Overview: Benalla Rural City Council has secured $15 million in funding for the Benalla Multisport Stadium, a new indoor sport and recreation facility that will replace the town’s current indoor centre.
The stadium will be built within Council’s existing recreation reserve and will provide female friendly, inclusive amenities. The new stadium will be designed in alignment with Sport and Recreation Victoria’, Basketball Victoria, and Netball Victoria’s guidelines to create an accessible and fuctional space that also provides flexibility to maximise usage of shared spaces for Council and community.
Our role: Browns Project Solutions has been engaged across the initial development phases of the Benalla Multisport Stadium, from project development and concept design through to detailed design.
Our team has supported Council through the project’s highest-risk early decisions, assessing feasibility options before design commitments were made and preparing the funding submission underpinning the project. We’re now managing a tight design program built to hold its schedule while still making room for the level of stakeholder engagement a project of this scale needs.
This role draws on Browns Project Solutions’ experience delivering community and recreation infrastructure for local government clients across regional Victoria.
